It’s really hard for us (Christian and Elisabeth) to walk away from Outer Orbit because it’s been so gratifying watching the community grow around us and we’ve received so much love from all of y’all.  We’re fond of saying that Outer Orbit has been successful on every metric except the capitalist one.  It’s been so cool to see people get the vibe and tell us we’re one of their favorite spots in the city.  But that appreciation must also extend to all the staff who have given us so much of their labor and heart to keep that vibe going.  And it’s really difficult to imagine all our dishes just disappearing so we’ll probably put together a little cookbook to drop on the webs (subscribe to our newsletter below for updates on that - bottom right corner of this page).  Our goal with Outer Orbit has been to build community and contribute a little to what makes SF rad and we think we've accomplished that, so no regrets!
